Calligraphy Pens can be used for anything from writing invites to creating stunning artwork. The Artline on the desk today has a 2.0mm chisel tip with water based pigment ink that is fast drying, waterproof & acid free.

The Artline Calligraphy Pen is also available with 1.00, 3.00 & 4.00mm nibs in a choice of black, blue, red & sepia ink. They make the perfect companion for those wanting to create illustrations or decorative works of art. Calligraphy pens are designed to produce varying line widths depending on the way the pen is held, this is not something that comes naturally to me & my attempts did nothing for my writing. My creative streak isn’t unleashed in the form of handwriting so I had to call on somebody with more flair to complete the writing example below.

The Artline Calligraphy Pens have a square cut tip made of polyester fibre & a protective metal ring protects the point. At the other end of the pen & the question of posting the cap I didn’t have a positive experience. Maybe experienced calligraphers will tell me it doesn’t matter? It’s just something I always do to save losing them!

Whilst fibre tipped calligraphy pens are apparently (I can’t vouch for this you understand) much easier to hone the craft with than say a fountain pen, they will still not provide a miraculous solution to someone with poor handwriting. If on the other hand you want to take time out to learn how to create a variety of lettering & fancy penmanship then Artline Calligraphy pens may offer some assistance.
